The company believes that it is important to stay in touch with family and friends, right when there is social distancing and when you are stuck in lockdown. Even though messaging and video calling or even talking to someone face-to-face are some effective ways to be updated about your loved ones, but the company believes that talking over the phone balances both convenience and personal connection. A study by NPE has shown that people tend to call often than video calls since they don’t know whether the other person is available to talk or it may be an inconvenient time to call. ‘CatchUp’ alleviates this issue and also makes it easy to group call with just one tap.
Facebook is Still Testing this App in US
The app allows you to make group calls with up to 8 members. You can even talk to people one-to-one. The app is easy to use and allows you to add more contacts on a call with just one tap without actually ‘merging’ them. Facebook has launched this app in the US only and it is still being tested.
